Kevin Morrissey, the managing editor of Virginia Quarterly Review, died unexpectedly on July 30. We did not know him well, but he was always helpful to the staff of Ecotone and provided invaluable advice more than once. He was an important part of VQR’s rise to national, and indeed international, prominence during the last several years, and will be missed as a colleague. To his family members and friends, for whom the loss will be much greater, we extend our sincere condolences during this very difficult time.
