Rebecca Gayle Howell

Rebecca Gayle Howell is a writer and documentary artist. She is the author of The Hatchet Buddha and was the photographer for Arwen Donahue’s This Is Home Now: Kentucky’s Holocaust Survivors Speak. Her documentary work has also been collected in the anthology Plundering Appalachia, and her poems and essays appear widely in journals. She lives in eastern Kentucky and teaches creative writing at Morehead State University.
